Frequently Asked Questions

What is Accidental Eden?

Accidental Eden is my cozy corner of the internet where I share my hobbies — mushrooms, gardening, aquariums, and whatever else I stumble into. It’s about experimenting, making mistakes, and slowly creating a little Eden of my own.

Why do you call it “Accidental Eden”?

Because none of this was planned. I picked up hobbies one by one, learned as I went, and realized together they’ve grown into my own version of an Eden.

Are you an expert?

Not at all! I’m figuring things out just like you. I share what worked (and what didn’t) so you can see that starting messy is still worth it.

What will I find here?

Beginner-friendly notes, experiments, small wins, funny flops, and honest reviews of the tools and kits I’ve actually used. Think of it as a scrapbook of curiosity.

Can I ask questions?

Definitely! I love connecting with other curious hobbyists. You can reach me through the contact form or on Instagram/Tiktok.

Can beginners follow along?

Absolutely! Accidental Eden is built for beginners and the hobby-curious. I share my projects as they really happen — including the missteps — so you can see that learning is part of the fun. You don’t need experience to enjoy it here, just curiosity.

Do you make money from this site?

Some of the links I share are affiliate links. That means if you buy something through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only share products I actually use or would recommend to a friend.

Where should I start?

That depends on what you’re curious about! If mushrooms catch your eye, check out Fun With Fungi for my indoor growing experiments. If you’d rather dig in the dirt, Green Thumb Challenges is where I share my gardening wins (and flops). Or, if aquariums and tiny shrimp drama sound fun, dive into Swimming With the Fishes. Wherever you begin, you’ll find a mix of experiments, lessons learned, and a few “accidental wins” along the way.
